Welcome back to Part II of "Bouquet Friday"....if you are just joining us, make sure you check out our lovely interview with the beautiful and talented, Megan Gray of Honey and Poppies.
I woke up this morning around 3:00 and I could not go back to sleep, I hate those nights, especially, since I went to bed a little after midnight....I get back up and turn on the computer and start "blog surfing"...for some reason, I googled my name...(do you ever do that)...during the google search, I came across a DIY feature I did for Design*Sponge a couple of years ago...OMG...my DIY Spring Flower feature.....what a lovely surprise....so, I thought I would share a "spring flower blast from the past" with you today...Spring is my favorite time of the year and the flowers are all so incredibly gorgeous....I tend to always over buy when I'm purchasing flowers at this time of the year....I just can't help it, they are all calling my name.
I don't know about you guys, but I love having fresh flowers in my home and a few of my favorite spring blooms are shown below...as you can see, I gathered these lovelies together to make a couple of spring arrangements...but, using any of these pretty flowers in cute bud vases or any simple containers you may have around your home would be the perfect fit. Hi Guys...our "Meet The Floral & Event Designer" series has been a huge hit at the cafe and this week we are featuring the series twice.....we have so many AMAZING designers to share with you and once a week is just not enough to share all the beautiful florals and meet the AMAZING designers.
Today, say hello to two of the sweetest and most talented young ladies, Sierra and Juliet of Poppies and Posies.....their florals are truly works of art...I love their style and I can't wait to meet them later this year!! Sierra and Juliet are constantly busy and they will be jet setting to LA this month designing flowers and styling shoots for Jen Huang's Photography workshop in Malibu. If you are familiar with the Tumblr wedding blog scene, you may know me from Wedding Whimsy, my little blog about vintage, creative, rustic weddings. They are an inexpensive, mostly simple way to express your personality in your decor, and the opportunities to customize are endless! So as you read on, re-think those old spools of craft ribbons in your gift wrap closet and how they can inspire you to create something new.

HAPPY FRIDAY GUYS!!.....well, today is truly a busy day for me...okay, wait, let me take that back....EVERY DAY is a busy day for me! For those of you that don't know, in addition to writing the blog and designing florals for weddings, I also work a full-time job....yes, I know, crazy right....but, I make it work and coffee is becoming my new"BFF"!....okay, let me get back to the topic of this feature......SO, when I leave the full-time job today, I'm meeting up with my girl Katie of Katie Stoops Photography and we are going to make some pretty magic with a ton of GORGEOUS peonies....I'm so excited...peonies are one of my favorite flowers and they smell oh so good....I can't wait to share all the prettiness with you...have a sweet day guys and I'll see you later today Katie.....xoxoxo
