Meet Jewelry Designer Erin McDermott
Hi guys....meet Erin McDermott.....when I received an email from Erin a couple of weeks ago....well, I had to do my "happy dance"...not only is she AMAZINGLY talented....her jewelry designs are gorgeous...so modern...so stylish....so chic....and I was totally blown away to find that she's located in Charlottesville, VA......local talent....YAY!!!!!!! I am so happy to have her stop by the cafe and visit with us today....I asked Erin to share a little bit about "Erin" with us...let's check out what she had to say....
"I graduated in 2006 from the University of Virginia, receiving a Masters in Elementary Education and Bachelors in Studio Art. While at UVA, I studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. There, I took jewelry design classes and fell in love with the process of creating jewelry. I use semi-precious stones, sterling silver, organic forms, textures, glass, freshwater pearls, wood, and unique materials to create my jewelry. These materials help to create jewelry, which is classic but also modern and unique. I love creating jewelry for weddings. I work with the bride and/or wedding party to design and craft unique pieces that work well with the line of the dresses and give off a funky but classy look. Afterward, the jewelry can be worn everyday or keep it for a special occasion."

| Erin says she has been inspired by long and delicate designs that can be worn and layered with other necklaces....I love these and I am so ordering one!!
