Happy Wednesday Guys...a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with Amber and Emily of Amber Karson Events...well, I have to share with you that I had the best time with these beautiful and talented ladies...they are the sweetest and their style and attention to detail is impeccable...Amber and Emily sent over a chic Vegas wedding to share with us today...the beautiful images were captured by Love Life Studios.....Let's check it out....Enjoy!
From Amber and Emily...."We love that Stephen and Kay stayed true to themselves and planned a celebration that was a reflection of them. As Bride Kay states: "Just like Frank Sinatra, we did it our way!" After getting engaged in snowy Iowa (where they reside) last winter, they quickly decided they wanted a warm-weather location for their celebration. The non-traditional couple decided to have a intimate ceremony in Las Vegas in May (officiated by Elvis!), followed by a larger cocktail party reception in Palm Springs on September 17, 2011.
We infused touches of their personality throughout the event. After learning the couple have seen over 30 concerts together, the concert ticket invitations seemed like a perfect fit. We created record tags to adorn the favor boxes to further showcase the couple's love for music. They embraced some traditions and skipped others. For example, Kay wore a short, pink dress in Vegas for the ceremony but a white long dress here in Palm Springs. She loved the idea of a corsage in lieu of a bouquet and Studio Fiore rocked it out adding hand painted balsa wood flowers to the design."

Whenever I'm setting the florals up at a wedding, I'm always excited to see the wedding cake...it's fun to see the couple's style shown in all the details and the cake is truly a "major detail"!! Details really do make a wedding story come to life....and one of my favorite cake bakers and designers is the ever-so-sweet and talented, Erica O'Brien of Erica O'Brien Cake Design! Erica's cakes are just so beautiful...I probably wouldn't want to cut them....they are all simply GORGEOUS and I can only imagine how wonderful they taste....Erica's beautiful cakes have been published in numerous wedding publications and on-line as well....I'm so excited to have her stop by and share a few of her lovely designs with us and they were all captured by some of our favorite photographers....Enjoy!!

Hi Guys.....it's the "Holiday Season" and I'm sure you all are busy getting ready to celebrate with your families and friends.....my mother loved this time of the year and she so enjoyed all the planning and decorating....hydrangeas were one of her favorite flowers and I couldn't resist these lovelies when I spotted them in our local Whole Foods a few weeks ago. The great thing about hydrangeas is that you can purchase about five stems and truly decorate your dining table....their fluffy heads are perfect for the holiday table and I paired them up with lots of silver vessels and mercury votives.....and to accent the red in these antique hydrangeas, I added pomegranates.....and yes, that's an "old silver tray" of my mom's in the middle of the table holding the votives and the pomegranates.....so simple...sweet...and elegant.
Capturing all the beauy of our holiday table is my girl Amelia of Amelia Johnson Photography......I love working with Amelia and we actually shot this at Amelia's beautiful home....and I couldn't resist adding the menu and name cards to the table...these were actually designed for an earlier shoot, but are perfect for our table today......designed by one of my favorite and oh-so-talented ladies in the industry, my friend Kristy Rice of Momental Designs......Enjoy!
