Good Morning again, loves! It's finally Friday and you know what that means?! It's the first official weekend of summer! As you're all getting ready to head out to the pool, beach, or basically anywhere else that is slam packed with other people, take a moment to rest your eyes on a perfect therapeutic color palette. As the summer is here, I will be finding some brighter colors to inspire us in the sunshine, but this week has been crazy and all I have been able to think of is getting a good night of sleep! So I decided on the calming elements of lavender. This popular, light, dusty shade of purple is very versatile. It can be made playful for a daytime wedding by adding shades of yellow, or dressed up with deeper shades of purple, such as plum. For today, I wanted to stick with the organic, natural-ness of it. So I chose to pair it with sage & mauve, both equally calm colors.
So before you start checking off your busy schedule, relax! After all, it is Friday! Dab a bit of lavender-scented oil on your wrists, and let the visual stress-relief begin!

Happy Friday Everyone! It's Alisha again, I'm so happy to be doing a second post for you all! It's been a great week, but as always, I happily welcome the weekend!
I've got a wonderful treat for all you summer color palette lovers out there. There are certain perfect color combinations that just make my obsessive-creative heart leap! This is one of those! I was inspired earlier this week by this gorgeous bouquet that Janie posted in this wedding, and I decided to run with it. It's a well known fact that opposites attract, and almost any shade of Coral and Gray paired together do just that. Something about that dull winter-sky shade paired with summery coral (the perfect mix of watermelon and sunshine...) just oozes happiness without being flashy. The result is exactly what you get when you eat pretzels with M&Ms. Pure joy. ~ A

Welcome back guys....if you are just joining us, please check out our beautiful DIY feature that was shown earlier today.....up now at the cafe is the beautiful inspiration board from my friends...my clients...yes, I'm so excited to be designing the florals for their fall wedding....and they are AMAZING photographers, Jodi & Kurt of Jodi Miller Photography. I met with Jodi & Kurt a couple of weeks ago and Jodi shared her inspiration boards with me...OMG...they were all so beautiful and I asked her to share one with us...well, Jodi sent one over and I hope you love it just as much as I do...I have to share with you that I'm SO happy to be working with Jodi & Kurt....so much fun!!
From Jodi....."I created about five inspiration boards not only for myself, but also for my family and vendors involved in the wedding (like you!). I wanted them to see what Kurt and I are envisioning for our wedding...to convey our style in pictures :) These inspiration boards were especially helpful for my family, as I needed someway to display all of the crazy and ambitious ideas I have for my wedding. For me, inspiration boards were an absolute necessity to really kick start the planning process and organize my ideas. For this particular board, I wanted to tack on a color palette.
I had so many people ask us what our colors would be for our wedding, but I really couldn't give them a straight forward answer, as I didn't have specific colors in mind. With this board, I was able to draw colors from the images and actually come up with my color palette, which consists of soft, muted, vintage tones."
