"Back Down Memory Lane" with Erika & Matt
| Hi Guys...let's take a trip "Back Down Memory Lane" with Erika & Mike's beautiful and fun "E-Session". Real Sedona Wedding - Julie & Joesph
I was so excited to find a email in my inbox from Kitty and Craig of Twin Lens.....their work is absolutely STUNNING and they are the sweetest couple....it's been way to long since they have stopped by the cafe and shared their gorgeous work with us....Kitty sent over the beautiful wedding of Julie & Joesph...you're going to love it...such pretty details and as ALWAYS, Kitty and Craig totally captured their special day. Before we check out all the gorgeous images, I ask Kitty to share a little info with us about Twin Lens...Enjoy!
"Twin Lens is a collaboration by my husband, Craig, and myself. We specialize in documentary photography with an artful twist. We both come from photojournalism backgrounds, covering news and editorial assignments, and have incorporated this skill set into our wedding photography, keying on moments and the real emotions transpiring throughout the wedding day.
We combine our digital photography with medium format film cameras (a pretty unusual thing these days!), using vintage twin lens reflex cameras and Holgas. These cameras produce all of the square images you'll see in the edit. We love working with film... it brings a nostalgic, gritty feel to the images which we have really enjoyed."

Julie shares their wedding story with us....."For our wedding, my fiancé and I envisioned an intimate affair with our closest family and friends. Since our loved ones are spread all over the country, we were open to any destination. When we stumbled upon L’Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, Arizona, we knew right away it was the perfect place. The red rock views were breathtaking, the accommodations were luxurious, and it had the rustic feel we were looking for.
We had fun coming up with our own little touches, like using a canvas and paints for our guest book (I’m an artist) and having a cake covered in coconut (fiancé’s favorite). The stone ceremony was one of our favorite things. Guests had been asked to find and bring a small stone, and during the wedding ceremony they were asked to hold it and say a prayer. We’ll be able to keep the stones – with their prayers – in our home forever.
We found the most amazing photography team ever, Twin Lens Images. When we first saw Kitty and Craig’s work, no other photographer would do. And on top of their profound talent, they are the sweetest people ever. We could not be happier with our choice, and I am so thankful to them for giving me what I believe to be the best, most beautiful wedding photographs that I’ve ever seen.
We will be forever grateful to Sandy Walker of In Awe Weddings & Events for making the wedding planning and our special day so wonderful. I don’t know how many times throughout the planning process that I told Sandy she was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I couldn’t have meant it more. She was professional, creative, patient, and wonderful in too many ways to list.
Our fantastic vendors made all the details come together to create an experience that felt like “us,” and one that we, and our guests, will cherish forever."

What's Your Bouquet Style?
You all know how much I love beautiful flowers.....aka..."my children"....I love meeting with my clients and getting to know them and getting a true "feel" for their personality and vibe....this is when I get the "aha moment" and I know how I will design the bridal bouquet....which is the most important floral design of the wedding....the bridal bouquet is in 99% of all the photos....the bride will be holding her beautiful bouquet from the time she walks down the aisle and through out the reception....to me, it's almost like selecting the perfect pair of shoes for the perfect outfit....it's truly "your style".....so today, I thought it would be fun to find out "What's Your Bouquet Style".....please leave a comment letting us know what bouquet describes you or which one is simply your favorite....Enjoy!
