Hi All....a few weeks ago I was scheduled to design flowers for a couple of tablescapes for a photo shoot...well, as in life, things happen and we didn't get to do the shoot....no worries, we couldn't let the flowers go to waste and I did promise you guys that I would start sharing more floral features at the cafe...so, here you go!
And perfect timing for a bright and "colorful" centerpiece...it's so cold in RVA today and this little pretty reminds me of a spring day with all the yummy and vibrant color palettes....and take note that the some of the tulips and the peonies are fully blown open...the arrangement was 4 days old when the image was captured by Cyn Kain Photography!
This was my first time working with Cyn.....she's such a beautiful person...inside and out and her work is simply lovely...make sure you check out her site!!
Enjoy y'all!!

Happy Friday Guys and welcome to "Bouquet Friday"....starting today, we will have a lovely floral feature to hopefully put a smile on your face and make your day....a great way to start your weekend and you never know who may stop by to say hello.....for those of you that don't know, I am the JM of JMFlora Design...it's so funny but every now and then I get an email from a reader letting me know how surprised they are to find out that I'm also a floral designer.
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with two of my favorite people on the planet, the insanely talented Amelia, of Amelia Johnson Photography and my beautiful friend and stylist Dana FitzGerald. We've got lots of beautiful floral projects coming your way and today we've got one of my favorite floral bouquets to share with you...this little pretty is filled with yellow and orange ranunculus....from January thru May, the floral markets are filled to the brim with gorgeous stems or ranunculus...so many yummy colors to choose from......you are sure to find ones to fit your color palette.
Being in Virginia, I'm limited to so many of the beautiful flowers that I love to design with, so, I have to order from the different markets in CA and NY. All the flowers in this bouquet were purchased from Florabundance in CA....yes, it's a little costly because of the shipping charges, but, trust me....it's so worth it! This bouquet actually lasted a little over a week after Amelia photographed it....when designing, fresh flowers are key!!....Enjoy!!
