| We received a really sultry bridal inspiration shoot and we are so excited to feature it on the cafe. Aisha of Dooby Design in Michigan sent us her lovely collaboration, highlighted with an eclectic mix of blue, coral, and touches of pink. I really love the modern furniture and mirrored accents - and check out that cake!

| Hi guys, it's Courtney opening up the cafe doors with a little whimisical treasure. Today's spoonful of mint + peach inspiration comes from yours truly, along with a very talented design team, shot by Eunqiue Jones Photography. This shoot was inspired by the chic and glam spirit of the South. I met with the very fun Liza from DBI Events and she was right on board with the concept. I was very lucky to have such fun models to work with and a beautiful summer day. Without futher ado, today's inspiration:

Hi Guys.....I'm so excited to share some AWESOME "cafe news"....say hello to the cafe's Associate Editor, Courtney....she's wonderful and I'm so happy to have her be a part of the cafe.....so without further ado, take it away Courtney....
"Hi all! I'd like to take this time to introduce myself as the new Associate Editor of the Bride's Cafe. My name is Courtney, but some people call me Court and my nieces call me CoCo (The Cafe's CoCo actually has a cute ring to it!). I am so excited to join the cafe and serve up some heavenly inspiration. I have ALWAYS loved weddings (been planning mine since age 6!) and pretty details. Feel free to connect with me on twitter @Tre_Chic, I'd be happy to dish more about myself there! But for now...on to today's post:"
This morning was a little chilly over here - fall is definitely knocking on the door. This tasty post has arrived just in time for the season and what lovely inspiration it is. Janie sent over this fabulous post from Heidi Lynn Photography and I was instantly hooked. This shoot took place at Minnesota's Sweetland Orchard and featured this very cute couple. Now, I have a sweet tooth and pretty much swooned over that yummy looking Apple Crostada, but there are so many adorable details to look at. I highly recommend you take a peek!

Hi Guys and Happy Friday....let's take today and enjoy a few of the cafe's favorite inspiration boards from our beautiful friend Alisha of Weddings of Whimsy....thanks for all of the lovely inspiration Alisha!......Enjoy!!
I have some gorgeous color-palette eye candy for you all today! I am inspired by the refreshing hue of mint. It's kind of the more green version of sky blue... and it's amazingly versatile! I had about five different color combinations in my mind that worked well with mint, but as soon as I saw it next to my favorite hue of pink- the decision was made. Blush is exactly what the name says it is. Its three parts au-natural and two parts happiness. The perfect compliment to cool mint. The best thing about this combo is that I can picture it in a romantic, outdoor wedding just as much as I can see it in an indoor museum venue against stark-white walls. It is the perfect combination for those wishing to create an ethereal look to their wedding while still adding color. So sit back and soak in this refreshing color palette and be inspired! ~ A

Good Morning Everyone & Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all enjoying your first week of fall, celebrating with Pumpkin Spice Lattes, and breaking out your coziest sweaters! I have a pretty palette of color inspiration for you today, one that I think is just right to ease us into warmer autumn shades. I adore fall weddings, and I have quite a few that I will be [very happily] attending in the next few weeks. Though I love fall color schemes that showcase deeper colors, I am not fully ready to surrender my favorite lighter hues... which brings me to this elegant & playful, slightly french-inspried color scheme!
I love the way this pinkish-purplish mauve mingles with the warm-but-soft apricot hues. And I love how this golden brown toffee shade pulls it all together in a perfect "let's get married in October" way! Let me know what you all think of it! As always, thanks a ton for reading!

Man, do I love a good September in Richmond! Starting with the clear blue skies(… without the hurricanes of course...), to the way the air starts getting crisper, losing humidity, and finally giving us a much needed break from a summer of frizzy hairstyles. It’s a beautiful beginning to a season of football, bonfires, pecan pie & apple picking… and it’s the perfect month for a wedding! Even though the leaves have not yet turned, and I am still holding on to a bit of summer... fall is well on it's way! So today's post is dedicated to one of the best things about the season...all the delicious desserts! Whether you are getting married this fall or next, here are some photos to inspire your dessert table, especially if you are looking for an alternative to regular wedding cake. So Enjoy! And read closely, there might even be a recipe or two. ;-)
~ Alisha

1. Mini Pies:
These little babies have recently come onto the Wedding scene and they are such a crowd pleaser! You can order gourmet versions to have delivered for your big day, or you can make them in little muffin pans! Flavors seen from left: Pecan, Dutch Apple, & Coconut Cream.

Lacy, soft, frilly, ethereal, enchanting, inviting... all such lovely words. Today's post is all of these things. Inspired by the soft, ruffled layers of a peony. This is not so much a color palette, although these lovely whites and barely there blushing pinks make a lovely combo for your day, this is pure textural inspiration for all those die-hard romantics. What could be more romantic then ruffles, lace and tulle? One thing. A wedding that incorporates all three. Take a moment and let your mind wander around all the possibilities of romance in your wedding decor. Hope you enjoy the loveliness!

I was inspired earlier this week by an article in Martha Stewart Living about jadite, old fashioned green glassware that really puts a pop in your decor. The shades of jadite paired next to any light shade of blue reminded me of seaglass... which brings me to this post! Calming blues and clear, glassy green... what could be a more lovely pair for a spring or summer wedding color palette? One of my favorite things about these seaglass shades are that you don't have to go crazy trying to match everything perfectly. As long as you stay within the same soft tones (no neon lime greens, please.) you will acheive this fresh, serene look.
