| Happy Friday Guys....yesterday I featured the floral details from our "Peach, Aqua, Red and White" color palette shoot with Katelyn James Photography....and as promised, more beautiful details from the shoot....the details are truly "key' to your wedding day and how fun to have a blank canvas and design all those special details that will come together and tell your wedding story! Dana Fitzgerald did an AMAZING job coming up with the story board for this shoot...she's so talented and I always enjoy working with her and yes, this is seriously a lot of hard work and long hours but it's so worth it! Yesterday I shared a "sneak peek" of the style shoot from Katelyn James' workshop....Katelyn captured soooo many beautiful images and today I want to focus on the floral inspiration for the shoot.......the tablesetting....bouquet...floral halo and the bout!....our color palette of peach...aqua...white and red came together so beautifully and I hope you all will enjoy all the pretty inspiration....Enjoy!!!

Good Morning everybody and a very happy first day of November! I am so excited to share this very special wedding with you! My wonderful friends Mr. & Mrs. Stells!
Katie & David’s elegant Richmond wedding took place on October 9th, just a few weeks ago on what seemed to be the most perfect fall day of all time. They were married inside the stately Cannon Chapel on the beautiful University of Richmond campus, and celebrated with guests afterwards at Willow Oaks Country Club. I was so lucky to be a part of their wonderful day – my first official experience in wedding planning! –I could not have wished for a better Bride & Groom to work with!
When I first spoke to Katie about her wedding vision she knew she wanted something that would be remembered as timeless, elegant & classic. All adjectives that very well describe her graceful personality. (I have told her more than once that she reminds me of Kate Middleton…) With a color scheme of plum, gold & champagne, and a venue with as much romance & history as the couple themselves… we were off to a good start! The photography was done by Vera & Brian of Vera Pakizer Photography. I think they did such a wonderful job of catching the overall atmosphere of the day! Hope you enjoy the photos ;-)

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you are having a splendid start to your Tuesday! This is Alisha & I am SO lucky & very excited to share with you my first Real Wedding post on The Café! Everyone meet Shari & Ian... This wedding is close to my heart because Shari & I actually went to the same high school & played volleyball together (which is a BIG deal… there were like 100 people in my high school…no joke) I am so glad that she was fortunate enough to meet her soul mate, Ian. Together they share the warmest, brightest smiles, and whenever you are around them you can't help but catch their contagious joy :-)
Shari & Ian had their beautiful ceremony & reception at Cooper Vineyards in Louisa, Virginia on September 10, 2011. Their gorgeous photography was done by Tall & Small Photography.

It's another very lovely summer Friday at The Cafe, and my mind has been on the ocean all week long! Between Richmond's rainy day skies and these lazy beach day longings, I have come up with a color palette of calm, beautiful blues. You really can't go wrong if you mix different shades of the same color. I would love to see bridesmaids all wear a different shade of blue. So pretty and perfect for summertime! For a color palette of these blues, I like the idea of adding some gold elements, but if you are more of a silver or gray person, that would work well too in tying it all together. Hope you all enjoy your weekend and get a little time to gaze out into the ocean!!! ~ A
