I've never been a fan of huge flower arrangements at the altar for weddings....they look a little "old school" to me...so today, I thought I would share some "non traditional" ceremony decor with you....from pom poms....to ribbons...to flowers.....all so pretty and so "non traditional"....and check out the different venues that the couples are choosing to hold their ceremonies at today...all so different and so beautiful....see you at the ceremony!!....Enjoy!!

Hi Guys.....it's "Bouquet Friday" at the cafe and today I'm sharing one of my favorite color palettes with you...corals...yellows....and an unexpected touch of blue. I find this color palette to be romantic, yet still fun and the fluffy coral peonies in the mercury containers bring such an elegance to the table.
The blue accents are brought in with the ribbon table runner and to reference the yellow ranunculus, we choose the golden yellow napkins. Using the mercury containers as our vessels for the florals and mercury accents with the votives and candleholders brought the look all together...a lovely table for your wedding reception...rehersal dinner...or simply entertaining at your home with friends and family. Enjoy!!

When it comes to wedding details I agree with Janie - ribbons are a favorite. They are a special detail that should just not be over looked! Ribbons should be used to elevate the basics — trim flower girls' dresses, cardigans, shoes, bouquets, paperie, escort card tables, favors, napkins and more!
Ribbons come in what seems like an infinite number of fabrics, widths, patterns and colors. And what is great is that they are widely available to all!
I am going to share some of my favorite sources with you now...hope you enjoy!

Ribbons are the first thing that comes to mind when you think about crafts, gift wrap, and things you used to tie in your hair as a little girl... but what about weddings? Recently, different ways to use ribbons have been popping up all over the blogs and magazines. They are an inexpensive, mostly simple way to express your personality in your decor, and the opportunities to customize are endless! So as you read on, re-think those old spools of craft ribbons in your gift wrap closet and how they can inspire you to create something new.
1. Inspired by an Anthropologie floor set, a gorgeous cascade of paper ribbons creates the perfect backdrop for a rustic or empty-looking venue. Oh, yeah, and that's a DIY made from receipt tape by the way.
