Let's revisit the beautiful wedding story of Laura & Jayme...this is the sweetest wedding...filled with charm and so much style...I love it!  Laura & Jayme's wedding story was captured by Leo Patrone...Leo's work is ALWAYS incredibly beautiful and I love his style of shooting...Jayme, our groom...shares a little info about the wedding with us...let's check it all out.....Enjoy!!

"we had our wedding at gold lake in
colorado, a rustic spot in the mountains with hand-hewn wooden cabins, a lodge, natural hot pools and hiking trails.

letterpress invitations were designed and by julie mader-meersman

photos were taken by the amazing leo patrone

laura's dress was made by lisa elstun, collaborator and designer extraordinaire

jayme's white shoes were made by rafi balouzian at cydwoq.

local flowers came from pastures of plenty

we had two incredible bands make music throughout the day and night:  VOCO  and round mountain

laura handmade all the garlands and decorations and we typed and sewed together notes to every guest."

Thanks SO much Leo for stopping by the cafe today...we always enjoy your visits...guys, make sure you check out Leo's site...so much gorgeous inspiration to see and to Laura & Jayme, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy...AND congrats to Jayme, he's a Juno award winning banjo player, hear his work here!

Real DC Wedding - Lindsay & Kevin

Say hello to Lindsay & Kevin...their wedding is oh-so-sweet and their vendors are AMAZING.....it is so cool to see so many wonderful people in the industry help to make their wedding story one that is filled with beauty, elegance and so many fun details....and I love that Lindsay had a serious "Etsy Style Team" contributing to their wedding day....capturing all the magic are the oh-so-INCREDIBLY talented and sweet, wife and husband team, Jamie and Chris of JAC Photography....their work is always so beautiful and I'm so excited to have them stop by the cafe....let's check out the beautiful images from Lindsay & Kevin's big day.....Enjoy!

Jamie shares a little info with us......"It was a daytime wedding, ceremony held at a nearby park under a tree. Friends of the couple played cellos. It was so casual that they didn't have chairs for guests, it was intimate and casual. The guests then walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch. Cake was in the form of cupcakes. The guest book was in the form of a tree that was purchased from Etsy and guests signed a leaf to add to the tree. The highlight of the reception was a photobooth complete with Etsy chalkboards where guests wrote messages to the couple. The guests left the day with a tree to plant from the National Arbor Day Foundation. The bride's casual decor was chosen very simply, she picked her favorite flower, peonies, and sprinkled them throughout the venue in blue mason jars she got from Etsy. When the festivities were done, we had the couple to ourselves and walked around Capitol Hill and the Metro for portraits. This wedding was shot on film and polariod."

Back Down "Memory Lane" with Leda & Jonathan

Hi Everyone....let's go back down "Memory Lane" with Leda & Jonathan.....I still love looking at the images from their beautiful wedding....they were featured at the cafe last summer!

When I first saw the images of Leda & Jonathan, my first thought was that they are such a beautiful couple...and my next thought was....they are going to have some beautiful babies....as you will see...they are truly a beautiful couple and with so much style and grace.  Their wedding story is being shared with us today by the incredibly talented husband and wife team, Sarah and Chris of Sarah Rhoads Photographers.  I love Sarah and Chris....not only are they AMAZING at what they do....they are such terrific people.....let's check out all the magic of Leda & Jonathan's wedding story.......Enjoy!

Sarah shares Leda & Jonathan's day with us......"Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh." -W.H. Auden

"That quote completely sums up how I feel about Leda & Jonathan. I don't think I have ever laughed harder in my life with a couple. It feels soo good to laugh, I mean who doesn't just love that euphoria you get after a good bottom-of-you-stomach laugh? Well, that is the kind of laughter these two have with one another. One thing that I've noticed in couples who have had long and successful marriages is that they still laugh with one another. When I think about Leda and Jonathan fifty something years from now, I picture a cute little 80 year-old couple cuddled up in the corner of a bustling party giggling :). Joy just ebbs from them and their natural charisma rubs off on everyone who comes into contact with them... It makes it VERRY difficult not to absolutely adore them.

These two had their reception at an amazing, modern and stylized hotel in
Tacoma, Hotel Murano. It was a totally inspiring setting, with lots of loving family and one of the most killer wedding party's ever! Chris even busted out the Polaroid for a lot of this wedding and I have posted a few here in the blog. We feel very blessed to have played a special role in your day Leda & Jonathan, thank you for treating us like family ;) You are true friends."

I love this image of Leda..simply STUNNING!

Check out Jonathan....totally a "GQ" kiind of guy!

Sarah and Chris...thank you both for stopping by the cafe today...and Sarah, it was a true pleasure chatting with you....and to Leda & Jonathan....we wish you a lifetime filled with love and happiness!!
