Hi Guys...thanks so much for stopping by the cafe...I've been MIA and I'm so sorry...it's been SO busy for me this year...I've taken on a few more weddings than usual (and I'm loving it) and I got promoted at the full-time job and you know that means extra responsibilities....so between the full-time job, weddings, meeting with clients and The Bride's Cafe, well, there are just so many hours in the day and I have to carve out a little time for the family...OMG..I'm exhausted just writing this!
I will always find time for beautiful flowers..they make me happy and they always bring a calmness into my life...a few weeks ago, I got together with my beautiful friend Courtney of Merriment Events and Chrissy and Sara of Sweet Spot Candy...together we collobrated on a vibrant color palette inspirtation of pink, orange and yellow for the Artful Wedding event....we were so excited to be a part of the event and so excited to meet the guest speaker, Abby of Style Me Pretty...she is such a sweetheart and it was so much fun chatting with Abby and her husband....they are truly two of the nicest people....such a joy meeting them!!
Now let's check out all the pretty inspiration captured by Jodi and Kurt of Jodi Miller Photography...love them..they ROCK y'all....Enjoy!!

I'm so excited to share this "Vintage Inspired" photo shoot with you...and the inspiration for this shoot are the gorgeous "Vintage Style" Whirlingturban dresses by Katherine Robinson. Katherine is truly an AMAZING designer...her designs are for the true "vintage clothing enthusiasts". Katherine sent over two of her gorgeous designs for the shoot.....working on the shoot was my beautiful friend and talented stylist, Courtney Spencer of Merriment Events.....my girl and oh-so-fabulous makeup artist, Erika Nixon!
Capturing all the beauty and fun, my friends and AMAZNG photgraphers, Kelly and Ryan Portnoy of Kellan Studios...and our beautiful models Lydia and Sara, who braved the cold for us in order to get the outdoor shots and me, JMFlora Design.
We all wanted the shoot to be fun and focus on the beauty of the dresses....we used the perfect accessories......vintage hat boxes, pill box hats, a couple of pretty bouquets and Courtney had a copy of LOOK Magazine...how cool was that! We had a fun day...and the dresses are just so beautiful...I love them!!

Hi guys, I'm taking you on a trip back down "Memory Lane" today with the beautiful wedding story of Lauren & Jonathan....their wedding was originally featured in January of last year and I'm so excited to share with you that their lovely day is being featured in the GORGEOUS new online issue of Smitten Magazine....and you can view it here....now let's check out the original post..and thanks so much to the lovely ladies over at Smitten for featuring Lauren & Jon's beautiful day....xoxo
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome back to the wedding story of Lauren & Jonathan....their wedding was so special to me because I was given the opportunity to work with so many talented and sweet individuals and we literally came together and made it happen in two weeks! When I got the call from Elizabeth Messina telling me that she was coming to Virginia to shoot her brother's wedding and asked if I could design the flowers....well, it took me all of two seconds to say YES....Lauren's mom had planned on being the "florist" for the wedding, so she was more than happy to give that assigment up!
After speakiing with Elizabeth, I called wedding planner and stylist, Courtney Spencer of Merriment Events and we immediately went into "planning mode"....we had two weeks to make it all happen and between the phone calls and emails with who I refer to as the "Dream Team" of vendors, we made Lauren & Jonathan's wedding day story truly "picture perfect".
Thanks to everyone for your time and your beautiful talents....we could not have done this without you and thanks to Lauren & Jonathan for letting us be a part of your special day. Now let's check out all the magic of Lauren & Jonathan's wedding day and all the info on this wonderful group of wedding vendors that made it all happen...Enjoy!!
The cute "Mr." and "Mrs." signs Jonathan & Lauren are holding were designed by my beautiful and talented friend Nana of Family Attic Shoppe. Guys, please visit her site...her signs are too cute and such a perfect detail for your wedding or event.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to work with one of my favorite photographers, Leo Patrone of Leo Patrone Photography....not only is Leo's work simply STUNNING, he is one of the nicest guys on the planet...yes," his mama did good", what a gentleman......I felt as though I'd known him forever....so Leo and I went over to my girl Courtney's house of Merriment Events and Little White Book....Courtney is an absolute joy to work with it...she truly has the "gift" of styling. We worked on a gorgeous tablescape that is being featured on Style Me Pretty ...so please head over to SMP and check it out....AND...I hope you'll enjoy the pretty bouquets that I designed....Courtney styled......and Leo captured!
