| It's the holiday season and I'm sure a lot of you are hosting lots of dinner parties at your home....let's have fun setting the dinner tables with one of my favorite designs (and a trip down "Memory Lane"). The inspiration behind the shoot is the beautiful basil palette tablecloth from Anthropologie....the moment I saw it I knew I wanted to design a floral shoot with a "Tuscan Style" flavor! Using weathered urns as our containers, we mixed the most gorgeous florals with rosemary, mint, lavender and geranium leaves and I so wish you could have been here, not only to join in on all the fun we had, but to smell the beautiful fragrance from all the herbs! Capturing all the beautiful images, the incredibly talented and incredibly sweet, Katie Stoops. Katie ROCKS y'all!!!....... Enjoy...xoxo

Hi Guys.....it's "Throwback Thursday" at the cafe....today, we are featuring a fun shoot we did back in 2010 with a few of my favorite people in the industry...I had such a wonderful time working with Jodi, Kurt and Lynn...I hope you enjoy this trip back down memory lane!!
------------------------------------
Picture This.....DINING out doors on a lovely afternoon in the country....the table is lined with vintage teapots and teacups filled with peach garden roses....dahlias...parrot tulips...scabiosa pods and ornamental green cabbages. The place settings are all beautiful china that has been collected from antique shops.....the napkins are all handmade....and on the menu we have a beautiful Tarte au Citron and Croquembouche!
I had the pleasure of working with Jodi and Kurt of Jodi Miller Photography and stylist Lynn Lindsay of Sunshowers and Rainshine on this "French Antique Inspired " shoot.....I ALWAYS enjoy working with Jodi, Kurt, and Lynn...they are all so very talented and so inspiring.....I'm excited to introduce Lynn to all of you....she is AMAZING....the style concepts that she brings to each project is truly STUNNING...and she handmade all the napkins for the shoot....Kurt made the Croquembouche and the Tarte au Citron from scratch....florals designed by "me", JMFlora Design....... and Jodi and Kurt captured all the beauty....Enjoy!

I'm so excited to share this "Vintage Inspired" photo shoot with you...and the inspiration for this shoot are the gorgeous "Vintage Style" Whirlingturban dresses by Katherine Robinson. Katherine is truly an AMAZING designer...her designs are for the true "vintage clothing enthusiasts". Katherine sent over two of her gorgeous designs for the shoot.....working on the shoot was my beautiful friend and talented stylist, Courtney Spencer of Merriment Events.....my girl and oh-so-fabulous makeup artist, Erika Nixon!
Capturing all the beauty and fun, my friends and AMAZNG photgraphers, Kelly and Ryan Portnoy of Kellan Studios...and our beautiful models Lydia and Sara, who braved the cold for us in order to get the outdoor shots and me, JMFlora Design.
We all wanted the shoot to be fun and focus on the beauty of the dresses....we used the perfect accessories......vintage hat boxes, pill box hats, a couple of pretty bouquets and Courtney had a copy of LOOK Magazine...how cool was that! We had a fun day...and the dresses are just so beautiful...I love them!!

Happy Wednesday Guys...today, I thought it would be fun to share a little of my "floral world" with you...last November I was busy making a few lovely bouquets for a styled shoot for Munaluchi Bridal Magazine. My inspiration for the shoot was one of my favorite flowers, coral peonies. I wanted the flowers to make a statement and you just can't go wrong with peonies...I envisioned one single big bloom in the "bride's" hair...and from there, I made a lush bouquet filled with peonies alone....I wrapped the stems with a mix of colorful ribbons from Midori...one of my favorite places to shop for ribbon!
