Welcome back to Part II of "Bouquet Friday"....if you are just joining us, make sure you check out our lovely interview with the beautiful and talented, Megan Gray of Honey and Poppies.
I woke up this morning around 3:00 and I could not go back to sleep, I hate those nights, especially, since I went to bed a little after midnight....I get back up and turn on the computer and start "blog surfing"...for some reason, I googled my name...(do you ever do that)...during the google search, I came across a DIY feature I did for Design*Sponge a couple of years ago...OMG...my DIY Spring Flower feature.....what a lovely surprise....so, I thought I would share a "spring flower blast from the past" with you today...Spring is my favorite time of the year and the flowers are all so incredibly gorgeous....I tend to always over buy when I'm purchasing flowers at this time of the year....I just can't help it, they are all calling my name.
I don't know about you guys, but I love having fresh flowers in my home and a few of my favorite spring blooms are shown below...as you can see, I gathered these lovelies together to make a couple of spring arrangements...but, using any of these pretty flowers in cute bud vases or any simple containers you may have around your home would be the perfect fit. Have a great weekend guys and I'm pretty sure I'll be having "nap time" today....Enjoy....xoxo

| Welcome back to the sweet Georgetown "E-Session" of Jawan & Will....I love visiting Georgetown and when I saw Jawan & Will's beautiful images, I knew that I wanted to share them at the cafe....they are such a handsome couple and I'm loving their style...so laid back!!....capturing all the fun is my oh-so-beautiful and fabulous friend and AMAZING photographer, Abby Jiu ......Abby is such a sweetheart...I'm so happy to have her stop by today and share a little bit of her "world" with us....and I have to give a huge shout out to my girl Eliana of EllyB Events, Elly and her talented team will be the "wedding planners" for Jawan & Will's big day....and I can't wait to see what Elly has in store...she ROCKS!!....Enjoy!

Happy Monday Guys....hope you all had a beautiful weekend....we are opening the cafe with a beautiful "style shoot" that took place at Frank Lloyd Wright's Kentuck Knob in Pennslyvania....a charming venue to consider when planning your special day....the beautiful images were sent over by one of my favorite photographers and favorite ladies, Abby Jiu and event planner, Amber Karson shares all the details with us...Enjoy!
"It's not everyday that your event venue is designed by arguably one of the best American architects of all time. Creating a bridal photo shoot at Frank Lloyd Wright's Kentuck Knob in Pennsylvania was an exciting opportunity for our entire vendor team which hailed from DC, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Completed in 1956, the home integrates organic architecture, attention to detail and custom-made, purpose driven interior design. It is located only four miles south of Wright's most famous house, Fallingwater. The property also has an impressive collection of sculpture art including works from contemporary artists, a collection of English phone booths, and even a piece of the Berlin Wall! We were excited to design a look that highlighted all the various facets of the property and photographer Abby Jiu captured it beautifully."

Happy Monday Everyone...I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.....it's "Bouquet Monday" at the cafe and it's all about the gorgeous palette of red and purple florals and we mixed in a little touch of antique blue/purple hydrangea. It's so fun to visit the flower markets this time of the year....packed with gorgeous tulips, ranunculus, anemones and the most beautiful mix of hydrangea....I could stay there for hours just checking out all of the pretty blooms! Enjoy Everyone, and I hope "Bouquet Monday" will brighten your day!
