Modern Chicago Wedding: Ariel & Michael

Say hello to Ariel & Michael...our featured couple...they are so cute and their wedding story was sent over by their incredibly talented and oh-so-sweet photographer, Emily Johnston Anderson.  Emily is such a sweet person....I have had the pleasure to chat with her and get to know her and she ROCKS!  I love her style of shooting and she totally captured Ariel & Michael's special day...let's check out all the magic....Enjoy!

Ariel shares a little info with us....."Our wedding day was full of personal touches. During the ceremony, I wore my grandmother's headpiece from her wedding in 1952 . My bracelet belonged to my late grandmother. My great uncle assisted as Deacon during the ceremony and my great aunt baked our delicious three flavored wedding cake. As a graphic designer by trade, I created all of our printed materials (save the dates, invitations, menus, programs, etc…) It was very comforting to have so many family members and friends contribute to our wedding day.

We used "fun, memorable, and unique" as our theme words during the planning. These words helped us plan and select all of the details that went along with creating the beautiful day. From the save the dates, to the invitations, to the photo booth at the reception, we tried to create a very relaxed and enjoyable environment.

The entire day was a reflection of our commitment to one another and a nod to our personal style. Friends and family joined us from all around the country to celebrate with us and they did not let us down when it came to celebrating! The positive energy of the day was a great start to our marriage.

The photos are a constant reminder of how magical the day was. Emily's ability to capture the mood and essence of the day is mesmerizing and each time we look at them we are transported back to that unforgettable day."

The color palette was purple with magenta and cornflower as accent colors...so beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by today Emily.....as always, your work is "picture perfect"....guys, please head over to Emily's site  to see more of her gorgeous work!
