Real Philadelphia Wedding - Jessica & Chip
Happy Wednesday Guys....today we have the beautiful wedding story of Jessica & Chip....such a lovely wedding story filled with so many special details....capturing all the beautiful moments of their wedding day, the dynamic duo and AMAZING photographers, Lorraine and Greg of Lorraine Daley Wedding Photography.....whenever I receive an email from Lorraine, I always know it's going to be a gorgeous wedding to share at the cafe and they totally captured Jessica & Chip's wedding so perfectly....Enjoy!!

Was there anything that inspired you for your wedding?

Jessica:  I was inspired by my venue to focus on vintage touches and neutral tones. I wanted it to be elegant, like the mansion, a little bit glamorous, like my dress, but soft and charming at the same time-so I chose a neutral palette that would make everything feel a tad bit reminiscent of the mansion's glory days.

Any advice that you would give other brides for their big day?

Jessica:  I hadn't planned on having a planner for my wedding. I wanted to do everything myself and am admittedly, a bit of a control freak. Even if you like to do everything yourself, I recommend a day-of coordinator to help with logistics while remaining in charge of all the decisions and creative choices. Mine created a timeline and coordinated all of my vendors arrival times and made sure everything ran smoothly. It took a lot of stress off!

Lastly, a bit about how you guys met, your engagement, or any other unique or fun details about the wedding.

Jessica: Chip and I met when we were placed next-door to each other our Freshman year at Colgate University. Chip lived in Curtis 316 and I was in Curtis 315. I was stuck in my books just as I'd been in high school, but Chip encouraged me to go out. We had heard about the Jug- a bar in Hamilton, NY that you can only go to if you are 19 years old. Chip and I were both 19 before everyone else, so we decided to go one night in early September, 2006. I had been looking out for someone else that night, but Chip didn't give up and won himself a kiss. Since then, we've been inseparable. Chip helped me expand my horizons and not get stuck in the library- I helped him do the opposite. One cold fall night that very same semester, Chip told me he wanted to marry me. At the time I thought he was a little crazy, now he's my husband!

Over the six years before we got married we studied abroad (Chip in Edinburg, me in London), graduated College, moved every single year, adopted two rescue dogs and now live in Philadelphia. Chip attends law school at Temple Law and I am a development associate at the Jefferson Foundation. On our honeymoon we talked about what would have happened to us if we'd never met. We determined that we never wanted
to know.

Thanks so much Lorraine and Greg for stopping by today and sharing your gorgeous work with us....guys, make sure you check out their blog site to see what they have been up to lately......and to Jessica & Chip, we wish you a lifetime filled with love and joy!
