DIY - PAPER WREATH
Hi Guys...it's DIY day at the cafe....today, I'm so excited to have the oh-so-sweet and talented, Victoria Hudgins of A Subtle Revelry stop by and share the cutest DIY paper wreath with us..guys, this is totally DIY friendly and would be such a lovely detail to have on your big day...I think you should have some fun and make a few of them!!  Now, let's get all the how to's from Victoria...Enjoy!!

"If you are looking for a big wedding day WOW for an affordable price, paper is your best bet. It can be purchased very cheaply and in the most gorgeous hues to make a large statement for your special day. I used about 15 sheets of 12x12 card stock to make this bright oversized paper wreath. It looks wonderful on an entrance door and would be amazing designed in multiples.

Could you imagine 8-10 of them lining a long reception wall! You can make the wreaths as big or small as you'd like so a life size one would also be an incredible ceremony backdrop. So many options with such a simple project."

1. First cut your paper into strips of 2 inches wide.

2. Decide on a pattern for your color selection. I love the look of 5-7 complementary colors but this could also look great in a monotone or two tone design as well.

3. You will need a large cardboard frame. Cut an oval out of a large cardboard box for a sturdy back frame.

4. Starting at one end, begin attaching your strips to the frame. Wrap them around the front and use hot glue to secure onto the back of the frame. Be sure to overlap each strip onto the one before it. Since you are working with a circular shape you will need to bend in the paper in back at times to keep the front looking crisp and straight.

5. Finish completely around your circle and end the last paper on top of both previous strips.

6. Hang using fishing wire for an easy removal after the wedding day.
