Real {Virginia} Wedding: Katie & David
Good Morning everybody and a very happy first day of November! I am so excited to share this very special wedding with you! My wonderful friends Mr. & Mrs. Stells!

Katie & David’s elegant Richmond wedding took place on October 9th, just a few weeks ago on what seemed to be the most perfect fall day of all time. They were married inside the stately Cannon Chapel on the beautiful University of Richmond campus, and celebrated with guests afterwards at Willow Oaks Country Club. I was so lucky to be a part of their wonderful day – my first official experience in wedding planning! –I could not have wished for a better Bride & Groom to work with!

When I first spoke to Katie about her wedding vision she knew she wanted something that would be remembered as timeless, elegant & classic. All adjectives that very well describe her graceful personality. (I have told her more than once that she reminds me of Kate Middleton…) With a color scheme of plum, gold & champagne, and a venue with as much romance & history as the couple themselves… we were off to a good start! The photography was done by Vera & Brian of Vera Pakizer Photography. I think they did such a wonderful job of catching the overall atmosphere of the day! Hope you enjoy the photos ;-)

The gorgeous bride looked like she belonged on the cover of a magazine... so flawless!

Beautiful Bouquets...

The very happy & glowing couple!

Below: A favorite quote of mine... Famous framed quotes served as a part of the centerpeices at the reception.

Below: Katie surprised her photography loving groom with a special groom's cake that held one of their engagement photos in the viewfinder of a camera on top of two of his favorite books.

Above & Below: The cakes were designed & made by a family friend.

I asked the lovely bride Katie what her favorite parts of the day were, and here is her response:
"Oh there are so many perfect moments to choose from for me... Id have to say the moment I walked in to the chapel and saw David standing there looking at me. It all kinda hit me at that moment that I was getting MARRIED! Second, I loved the toasts. They were funny but still so touching and I think being there surrounded by our family and friends was extremely special. I also have to say the funniest moment that stuck out to me was after david and I got in the car to leave, we were in complete shock. We had to stop at the gas station right up the street because we had no idea where we were going or whether we even had all our stuff. It was a very surreal feeling. I had waited 6 years for this guy to marry me and in an instant the whole day was over and we were married."

Below: I may have saved my favorite photo for last. Taken right after exiting the church as husband & wife. A perfect moment!

This wedding was such a joy to attend and to coordinate! Everything went so smoothly and was just so sweet and personal. For me it really set the bar high for weddings I will hopefully be planning in the future :-) Katie & David I love you both and wish you countless years of happiness together! Thanks again so much for letting me be a part of your day!  And a big thank you to Vera Pakizer Photography for allowing us to display her lovely work!

I'll leave you to enjoy the rest of your Tuesday with one more quote from the bride:
"Being married is so much more amazing then I thought possible. I get to hang out with my best friend every day and what could be better than that?"
